The YQ aluminium roller shutter uses an 80 mm interlocking curtain of extruded aluminium slats. It looks clean and architectural and it keeps your doorway secure. We fabricate each one to size in our Ang Mo Kio workshop.

Extruded aluminium is light, rigid and corrosion-resistant. The interlocking slats roll tightly into a compact coil. Customised end locks hold each slat in position, so the curtain runs straight and stays secure in the side guides.

This is our most versatile shutter. It suits shopping centres, shopfronts, counter tops, kiosks, arcades, schools and general doorways. It can be finished in natural anodised aluminium or powder-coated in a colour that suits your brand.

Size	Manual: each shutter up to 9 m² total. Motorised: up to 6 m W × 5 m H.
Curtain	Extruded aluminium interlocking slats, 80 mm, held in position by customised end locks.
Bottom bar	‘T’-shaped extruded aluminium profile, 63 mm W × 75 mm H.
Side guide	Extruded aluminium section, 45 mm deep × 32 mm wide, 2 mm thick.
Mullions	Standard 180° mullions in extruded aluminium, 114 × 32 mm. These can be the lift-out type with shoot bolts at the base. Special mullions for any angle can be fabricated from aluminium hollow sections fixed to the standard side guides.
Locking	The handle-bar slat houses a keyed centre or side lock. It drives an aluminium ‘C’ channel into the side guides on both sides of the opening. The lock works from both inside and outside, and multiple shutters can be keyed alike.
Sub-assembly	145 mm mild-steel wheels with fully enclosed ball bearings rotate around a 25 mm steel shaft. Helical coil springs counter-balance the curtain weight through its full travel.
Operation	Manual: push up and pull down with the supplied handle pole. For openings over 4 m high, a chain block or planetary gear system can be fitted to one end to help. Motorised: push button, remote control or key switch.
Finish	Natural anodised as standard. Colour powder coating is optional, in the Oxyplus powder-coat range.
