Yong Quan Roller Shutter Engineering designs, fabricates, installs and maintains roller shutters and roller doors for homes, shops, malls, warehouses and industrial sites across Singapore.
Our shutters are produced in our own workshop, which gives us direct control over workmanship quality, custom sizes and cost. The company is run by three partners, two of whom each have more than 25 years of experience in fabrication, installation, repair and maintenance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which roller shutter is best for a shopfront?
For most shopfronts we recommend the aluminium roller shutter, which has 80 mm interlocking slats and a keyed lock. If you want your display to stay visible after closing, for example in a mall or an F&B outlet, the polycarbonate clear-vision shutter is the better fit.
Can the shutter be made to my exact opening size?
Yes. We fabricate in our own workshop, so every shutter is made to the measured opening. Manual aluminium and polycarbonate shutters go up to about 9 m² in total. Motorised versions go up to 6 m wide and 5 m high.
Can an existing manual shutter be motorised?
In many cases, yes. Motorised operation can be by push button, remote control or key switch. For openings over 4 m high, a chain block or planetary gear can also help with manual lifting. We will confirm what suits your shutter after a site check.
Do you repair shutters installed by another company?
Yes. We service and repair all types of roller shutters and roller doors, including fire-rated, insulated, industrial and commercial units, even if they are third-party products. See Emergency Repair.
How fast can a technician come for a breakdown?
We aim to send a technician within one working day. If you call in the morning, we aim to arrive that afternoon. If you call in the afternoon, we aim to arrive the next day. Breakdowns with a safety or security risk are attended the same day where possible.
